Travel and Lodging:
Key locations in NZ (time to venue): Te Anau (17 min), Manapouri (7 min), Mossburn (40 min), Lumsden (50 min), Queenstown (2 hrs), and Invercargill (2 hrs):
Te Anau is the hub for the wedding and any other activities we plan, as such, we highly recommend booking your accommodation here. We have booked all rooms in the Alpine View Motel as our central meeting place, it is where the buses will depart from the day of. Queenstown and Invercargill are larger with more options. Queenstown in particular has a lot of things to do.
Manapouri is the closest town to the venue and is a great place to stay.
Travelling into NZ:
Either fly through Australia and directly into Queenstown, or fly into Auckland and do a domestic transfer to Queenstown or Invercargill. The domestic transfer requires picking up bags and transferring terminals. We recommend bus, shuttle, or rental car once you are in Southland.
