Unexpected Love

Summer 2022

Once in a while, right in the middle of an ordinary life, love gives us a fairy tale. This is our story of how the best love is unexpected There are times throughout life when we are searching for what we think we wanted. Then unexpectedly, we end up with what we're supposed to have. You just don’t find love, it finds you. It has a little bit to do with destiny, fate, and what’s written in the stars. The person that God places in your life, completely unexpectedly. Each and every one of us has a “meaning” behind our name. Whether it be biblical or not, we may not realize the true value behind our name In the bible, Nathan means “Gift of God.” Whether this gift is giving life, giving grace, also, ultimately giving the gift of unconditional love. The gift of love is a beautiful reflection on how this concept of "gift" is central to our faith. The name Nathan encapsulates this fundamental aspect of God's nature, and a part in God's unfolding plan. How he challenges us to live with integrity, to speak truth and to maintain our commitment in unconditional love and God’s truth even in complex and challenging situations. The name Amanda means “Worthy of love.” The Bible teaches us about the immeasurable love and grace of God towards humanity. This passage reminds us that God’s love knows no bounds, and extends to every individual, regardless of their past or shortcomings. Faith and love plays a fundamental role our lives, as mentioned throughout the Bible. In Hebrews 11:11 defines faith as “the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. When we met in the summer of 2022, neither one of us were “looking for love.” As our friendship and relationship grew, there was no doubt that God had brought us together. We were both given a “gift from God,” and shown we are both “worthy of love.” A love that we had both hoped for, a love we didn’t search for, an unconditional love, the love we are supposed to have. Yet God has made everything beautiful in its own time. He has planted eternity in the human heart, but even so, people cannot see the whole scope of God’s work from beginning to end. (Ecclesiastes 3:11 NLT)
