Check out Casey's stompin' grounds! Since Casey moved to the Gulch, he and Liz have loved eating traditional English food at The Pub, getting drinks at Gerties, and playing games at Pins Mechanical Co. For the best barbecue in town, head to Peg Leg Porker - where Liz used to work in college. End your night at The Station Inn, a music listening room with live country, bluegrass, and Americana music each night of the week.
Liz and Casey's favorite pizza in town is from Mafioza's, in the heart of the 12 South neighborhood. Other favorites include coffee at Frothy Monkey, drinks at 12 South Taproom, and burgers at Burger Up. For a more formal dining environment, check out Josephine or Epice. If you're looking to shop, swing by Serendipity or Vinnie Louise. Take a walk around Sevier Park - you may find local vendors selling unique goods at the 12 South Farmers Market.
Both hotels are in central Green Hills. Liz and Casey frequent Chinatown, which has the best spring rolls in town. Other Green Hills favorites include Green Hills Grille (with something for everyone), El Palenque (the best enchiladas in town!), The Food Company (for soups and sandwiches and the like), and Emmy Squared (grab a pizza before seeing a movie at the theater next door). If you're looking to grab drinks, check out The Greenhouse Bar, Crows Nest, or Char.
The Frist Center for the Arts, another of Liz's former employers, offers rotating art exhibits with something for everyone. The Country Music Hall of Fame and the Johnny Cash Museum are both crowd pleasers. For a glimpse into the heart of country music, take a tour of the Ryman Auditorium (or as some call it, the Mother Church). If you want to get outdoors, the Cheekwood Estate and Gardens are the perfect place to spend an Autumn afternoon. At Percy Warner Park, you'll get a great view of Belle Meade Boulevard and the changing leaves.
