We first met in 2020, during the height of the COVID pandemic, when Ashley was invited to a mutual friend’s house for a bonfire — a friend who also happened to be Kevin’s roommate. To set the scene, the house featured turf in the front yard, a hot tub in the backyard, Kraft Mac & Cheese as the late night snack, and a home garage gym known as “The Meat Factory.” Needless to say, Ashley didn't come around too often after that. Fast forward to 2022, when fate intervened once again. We crossed paths at a local dive bar but, despite recognizing one another, neither of us struck up a conversation that night. Less than a week later, in true modern fashion, Ashley came across Kevin on a dating app (shoutout to Hinge) where she slid in with an uncharacteristically simple and not-so-witty pick-up line: “Hey, I know you.” where Kevin replied, “Hey, I know you too,” and from there, our story truly began. For our first date, Ashley had a few requests — great tacos, cold beer, and it had to be dive bar. Kevin chose Merry Arts in Lakewood for Paddy’s famous tacos, which has since become one of our favorite spots. From that night on, we began spending time together regularly where we quickly bonded over our shared love of traveling, concerts, family, and Cleveland sports. Over the past three years, we’ve explored more than 15 states, attended 8 concerts, and shared countless heartbreaks while staying loyal to our Cleveland sports teams. We’ve created wonderful memories with our family and friends along the way and cannot wait to add this special day to the top of that list. We are endlessly grateful for your love and support and are so excited to celebrate this next chapter with each of you.
