Venue Overview

Answer

Deer Creek Mountain Camp is located at 9,000 feet elevation just 23 miles west of Denver in Bailey, CO. With several options for lodging on site, we are excited to host all of our favorite people for Camp Garcia-Wilkins. Games will be played. Food and drinks will be consumed. What date should I RSVP by?

Answer

We kindly ask that you RSVP by 03/12/2026. If you are not able to attend please RSVP no as soon as possible.

Question

What is the check-in process on Friday?

Answer

We get access to the venue starting at 12pm on Friday. We ask that everyone arrive with enough time to settle in and meet back up for camp games. Those staying on site will meet our camp counselors, Ashley and Rachael, at the trailhead sign near the field. Here you will get your room assignment, keys, welcome bag, and team assignment.

What is the sleeping situation?

Answer

Keep in mind this is summer camp everyone. Lol Our venue has accommodations for majority of our guests on site. This comes with a mixture of cabins and tiny homes. The cabins have a mixed amount of rooms and have a mixture of twin XL and queen beds. You can view the room types and pricing via the link on the lodging tab. Please note our venue will be going under renovations and the link will be updated January 1, 2026. If you would like to stay on site please put that in your rsvp. Once we have reached the limit of those that can stay on site we will reach out to let everyone know the window is closed. We will then assign rooms and reach out to let you know your room assignment and cost for lodging.

What is the check-out process?

Answer

Guest are required to check-out of their lodging by 10:30 on Sunday. All dishes in lodging should be washed and put away before you leave.

What should I pack?

Answer

We believe the below items are helpful when adjusting to the weather and altitude in Colorado. -Reusable Water Bottle (Water stations will be throughout the venue) -Electrolytes -Chapstick -Hand Lotion -Sunscreen -Light-Medium Jacket (Temperatures are expected to be in the range of 40-70) Optional for activities: -Disc Golf Discs -Yoga mat

What should I wear?

Answer

The theme for attire is Semi-Formal Mountain Chic. We want everyone to look their best while also taking comfort as a priority. Please keep in mind the ceremony is taking place outside and there is a small walk to the dinner area and the reception.

Is there parking?

Answer

The short answer is yes. However, while there is some parking for the apartment guests up near the apartments we encourage everyone to unload their gear and park down at the designated parking area in the open field unless you have mobility issues. The exception for this is the crow’s nest apartments. There is specific parking for 1 vehicle per apartment parallel to the crow’s nest apartments. Arapaho and the upper cabins also have limited parking next to them although it’s best not to drive through the venue area. You will come and go via the back road.

Am I allowed to bring a plus one?

Answer

If "and guest" or your plus-one's name is written on your wedding invitation, you can bring someone. Due to limited venue space, we unfortunately can't accommodate plus-ones beyond those named on the wedding invitation.

Am I allowed to bring my children?

Answer

We love your kids, but unfortunately, we cannot host anyone under the age of 18.

Will your wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Our ceremony will be held outdoors. Cocktail hour and dancing will be held indoors with patio access. Dinner will be indoors.

What type of food will be served at the wedding?

Answer

Our welcome dinner will be a local Mexican food truck. Wedding Day: A continental breakfast and sandwich lunch will be served on the lower deck of the a-frame. Please see the schedule for meal times. Dinner will be a full vegetarian Indian buffet. There will be a smores station on the patio as well as a late night snack TBD

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yes, the bar will be located in the a-frame where cocktail hour and dancing will be held. We will be serving beer, homemade mead, and cocktails as well as non-alcoholic beverages. During dinner guests can enjoy mead at their table or walk to the a-frame for liquor and beer. Tips for the bartenders are greatly appreciated! *Please keep in mind how altitude may affect your alcohol tolerance.*

Am I allowed to take photos at your wedding?

Answer

We ask that you refrain from taking photos and videos during the ceremony.

Can I post wedding photos on social media?

Answer

Of course! Please tag the bride and groom in any moments you capture.

Is smoking allowed on site?

Answer

Yes, both cigarette and cannabis use is allowed on property. Smoking indoors including vapes is prohibited. Please leave no trace and properly put out all butts and dispose of them in the many trash cans around. OR ELSE!

How do I get on the list to play at the silent disco?

Answer

We are working on securing some equipment and ask that those wanting to play reach out to Josh and then bring a USB with them.
