Mason and Jamie met in January 2018 at Grand Valley State University. Jamie was taking a drawing class for fun, and Mason joined a few days into the semester after he switched majors. Their first interaction was actually Mason asking Jamie for directions to the classroom in the hallway—but according to Mason's memory, it was the glare Jamie gave him after he knocked over her art supplies in class. At their next class together, Mason brought Jamie a peace offering in the form of chocolate, and they started making small talk during snack breaks (the class was 4 hours long, by the way). Eventually, Mason asked for Jamie’s number, and they began talking nonstop, in and out of class. Mason and Jamie made things official on February 7, 2018, and can't wait to get married on their 8-year anniversary!
