Question

What airport do I fly into?

Answer

San Jose Del Cabo (SJD)

Question

I just got off of the airplane.. now what?

Answer

Welcome to Mexico! Taxis can be found outside of Terminals 1 & 2. Make sure to negotiate your price before you get in the taxis, always. We HIGHLY recommend renting a car if you can. Taxis and shuttles can be difficult to find around Los Cerritos, unless you are staying at a resort. Rental Car Companies: -Booking.com -Enterprise -Hertz -Thrift -Sixt -Cactus There are many dirt roads in the area, 4wd is recommended if you plan to go exploring. Getting to Los Cerritos: From the San Jose Del Cabo Airport, head toward the Baja California Sur San Jose del Cabo- Sat Anita/Lib. Al Aeropuerto/Meixico 1D. This is a toll road that bypasses San Jose Del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas. The toll costs $7 usd or 120.00 mx and will get you to Cerritos beach in about an hour and a half. If you keep driving, you will find Todos Santos, which is the closest town to where we will be. Here you can find small grocery stores, tour companies, restaurants, cantinas, and shops. It is a safe and fun place to walk around! If you’d like to fill a cooler up before making the drive, Cabo San Lucas & San Jose Del Cabo will have more options and larger stores. If you choose to keep your phone on airplane mode, make sure to download your maps on Wi-Fi before you fly into SJD incase there is no Wi-Fi there.

Question

Where can I exchange my money for Pesos?

Answer

You can exchange money at the airport, however these places often charge the most. There are ATMs located in Todos Santos where you can pull out pesos using your debit or credit card, we recommended to have cash on hand incase of the unlikely occurrence that an establishment doesn’t take card. $1.00 = 17.15 Mexican Pesos

Question

What is the weather usually like there this time of year?

Answer

Baja will be warm and dry, with temperatures around 75 degrees during the day and mid to high 50’s at night. November is the end of the rainy season so typically the trees are all green and there is a low risk of rain. You can expect sunshine, beautiful sunsets that light the sky up like fire, waves, and water to swim in! The water temperature is typically in the high 70’s during that time of year. It may be a beach, but don’t forget a warmer layer for the cool evenings.
