God knew that Julia and Nate would do best by finding each other on Hinge. Nate in his typical organized fashion booked the date for 10 days out so he could get a haircut. Meanwhile Julia was just way too giddy and excited to wait a WHOLE week and asked at 11pm to have lunch the next day after church. Julia dressed cute for a lunch at Couch Tomato but after connecting so well during lunch, Nate suggested a walk on the Schuylkill River Trail on a cold January day. 4 miles later... Nate and Julia found they connected on their shared passion for their faith, relationships, and an active lifestyle and they decided to go for a second date. On another cold January day, Nate was inspired by the Scandanavian phrase, "there is no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothing." So with this in mind, they bundled up for a walk around Valley Forge which along with the Schuylkill River Trail would become anchors of their outdoor adventures for their treasured weekly bike rides. Since their cold start they have had many fun adventures cheering for the Philadelphia Union, dancing at other people's weddings, being extroverted, playing cards, being silly, cooking, encouraging each other's professional development, singing, writing songs, and serving at Bedrock church. Through the years, their love has grown for each other and on February 28th, 2026, Julia and Nate returned to Valley Forge. Nate went on a 6 mile run in the morning to find the perfect spot and in his same organized fashion, coordinated an incredible, well-thought out proposal. Later in the afternoon, Julia and Nate went for a walk, this one quite a bit warmer, and Nate asked Julia to spend forever together. Julia tackled Nate with excitement before even receiving the ring and gave an emphatic "YES!!" Julia and Nate ask you to join in praying that as they begin their marriage that they would continue to love God first, and as they seek Him that they would grow closer to one another, and extend this love to their friends, family, and community.
