How We Met

August, 2013

We met way back in our Freshman year of high school. We went to Missions Hills High School in San Marcos, home of the Grizzlies. We met on our first day of school. It was the last class of the day, biology. While I don't believe in love at first sight, when I saw Max's big blue eyes from across the room, I knew he was going to be someone important to me. When the teacher told us to have 5 minutes of mingle time before finding seats, Max and I were instantly drawn to each other and started a conversation. Our teacher was quite the matchmaker because the next day, we were assigned to be lab partners for the year. Thus began our journey from acquaintances, to friends, to best friends...and well, you know the rest and that's why we are where we are now!

We Started Dating

August 23rd, 2014

A year after we met and built a beautiful friendship Max finally officially asked me to be his girlfriend! Just in our first year of knowing each other and building a relationship we had already gone on so many adventures, made countless memories, and found that we cared for each other very much. The following 7 years would prove to be some of the most exciting, fun, and love-filled times we had ever had! We can't wait for the rest of our forever!

How He Asked

November 11th, 2021

The day Max asked me to be his wife started out as a fun girls' day trip to Downtown Disneyland for food and shopping. My sister and I got cute outfits and headed to the shops. Little did I know, there was a bigger surprise waiting for me when we got there. Max showed up with Starbucks in hand, and tickets to an exciting Disney Christmas event that I had been begging him to take me to. We entered Disneyland when it was getting dark outside and headed straight for the castle for a picture, as we always do when we get to Disneyland. I should have known what was coming because he was SO nervous waiting in line for our picture; biting his nails, fidgeting with his pockets, being super quiet. Once it was our turn for pictures, the photographer told us to do all the usual poses like hugging and kissing. Max pulled away from a kiss, said he loved me and wanted to spend the rest of his life with me, and got down on one knee. It was one of the most magical experiences of my life.
