Lexi was at work at Aeropostale. This was her first job! Jason was working at Bozard, a Ford and Lincoln dealership as a valet while in college. That day Jason needed to do some Christmas shopping on his day off, as he was leaving in a couple days to go back up to Connecticut to see family over winter break. He went into Aeropostale to shop for his mother and was greeted by Lexi who was telling him the sales for the day. Originally declining any help from Lexi, Jason thought she was cute and decided he would ask for some help. Lexi showed him the whole store and Jason barely liked anything. Eventually they started talking about the different things they had gotten each member of their families and then finally Jason asked for her number. He ended up buying about $75 worth of clothes and the rest is history!

Jason and Lexi spent almost a whole month talking on the phone everyday and all night as Jason was in Connecticut and Lexi was still in Florida. They talked for hours about anything and everything. Finally Jason got back down to Florida and took Lexi on a proper date. Within a couple days it was New Year’s Eve and Jason invited Lexi over to his house to celebrate. As soon as the last part of the countdown ended and the New Years ball dropped, Jason asked Lexi to make it official!

Jason spent the previous week making sure Lexi would have no idea when he was going to propose. He kept talking about gardens in Orlando and Jacksonville saying he wanted to get photos so they should dress nice. Then he took her to one of those gardens and did not propose that day. The next week he kept talking about a carburetor for the lawn mower that was coming in that he needed to sign for. Lexi totally stopped listening the second the word carburetor was mentioned. After they got back from Orlando they got dressed into comfy clothes and waited for the package. Once it came, Jason said he was gonna quickly put it in the shed and then they could go to the beach. Jason ended up passing the beach they typically go to. They took a walk and Lexi was picking up shells for Jason’s mom and then Jason got on one knee! Lexi was super surprised and so happy!
