Accommodations are a 15-20 min drive away from us and our wedding location. You would be situated between Lake Burgas and the Black Sea (Perfect for Beach Lovers). All accommodations seem to start from $35/night, and can increase from there. We recommend you use google to search for hotels. Booking through an affiliated search engine such as "Booking.com" or Expedia will ensure that your hotel booking is confirmed without worry. If you want to get a better price, check if you can book with the hotel directly (hotel website or call/email). Here are some various hotel websites: -hoteldoro.com/index.php/en/ -http://www.hoteldrama.com/en/ -Booking.com and search "Burgas Bulgaria."

All accommodations seem to start from $35/night, and can increase from there. For a "local" experience, we recommend you reserve a rental unit instead. If you do not require the same amenities provided in a hotel stay, rental units are a high value option. You have the freedom to stay in condos, houses, and villas. These homes are likely owned by locals, which give you a glimpse of everyday life. Booking accommodations in groups allows you the option to share a Villa, which is fun and economical. We love to book rental units using the following websites: -https://www.airbnb.ca/ -https://www.vrbo.com/en-ca

Taxis in Bulgaria are all painted bright yellow (or gold) and are usually branded to a particular company. They charge by the kilometer, with an initial fee of anywhere up to 1 lev (1 Lev=0.75 CAD). A cap on the price per kilometer has recently been imposed and will be around 60-80 stotinka (a monetary unit of Bulgaria, equal to one hundredth of a lev.) daytime and slightly higher at night. Once the biggest rip-off merchants, many still cannot resist the temptation to take advantage of a disorientated tourist. Follow the meter rate and do make sure you have seen the price per kilometer. Make sure to keep your eye on how the price is going up as you are travelling. Your taxi driver is obliged to display his photo and I.D. on the dashboard as well as a number for you to call with any complaints. **Uber/Lyft is no longer available in Bulgaria**
