We use USA Transfers for a private transfer - but a simple search online can get you lots of other options. Keep in mind that if you opt for a shared transfer (which is usually cheaper) you’ll be in a shuttle with other tourists and will take you longer to get to your resort. Always hot and humid. No need for a jacket except for the plane ride. Rain can be expected randomly since it’s a tropical climate. If you check the weather in the area it will always show that it’s raining, but that is not the case. You will get the occasional thunderstorm, and yes, hurricanes are always a possibility.
Yes! Bring plenty of $1, $5, and $10 bills to leave for tips. The staff is incredible and work their tails off serving guests. USD is accepted everywhere so there is no need to convert to pesos.
Yes! All your drinks and food on the resort are included in your stay. Just leave the servers tips.
Comfort is key! Sandals, shorts, tank tops, bathing suit cover ups. Dinner at the restaurants have a dress code so refer to the Iberostar app.
- Comfy light beach clothing - Sandals and/or comfy shoes. The grounds are massive so you’ll be walking a lot - Sunscreen! Lots of sunscreen! It’s expensive on the resort and you’ll need a lot - Medications, OTC, stomach aid medicines such as Peptol. With food and alcohol in abundance it’s easy to get an upset stomach - Cash for tips - Sunglasses - Extra bathing suits - If you smoke bring plenty from home because they are very expensive to buy on the resort. - Phone chargers Almost anything you could possibly need can be purchased at the resort if you forget something.
