Our paths crossed multiple times in between the 5:15 and 6:15 workout classes at F45 before we even knew each other’s names. Simple exchanges of “Have a good workout!” and “How are you this morning?” turned into social media interaction, which turned into text messaging, which then became group hangouts, which then became official dates and we became boyfriend and girlfriend in September of 2021. We went on vacations together, went to concerts & sporting events, attended and served at ITown church, met each other’s friends and family, and learned very early on that we could see a life together.
We were hiking around Ogle Lake in Brown County State Park . It was a cold November day so there were only 2 other people on the trail that day besides us. About 2/3 of the way into the hike, we stepped up onto a dock that overlooked the lake. It was calm and serene, and with the sun shining down through the trees, Brandon turned Taylor around to find him on one knee asking her to do him the honor of becoming his wife. She said yes, and shortly after those 2 previously-mentioned other people happened to approach us and offered to capture our first moments as an engaged couple. Fun fact; one of the women ended up remembering Brandon from high school! Small world!
