We were neighbors in Speedway, IN, and on September 17th, 2022, a police chase gave us the perfect excuse to be nosy—so we both ran out onto our balconies. Sparks flew… well, kind of! That night, we were both too shy to knock on each other’s doors. Fast forward a few months of carefully narrowing our Tinder searches to less than a mile, and we finally matched in March 2023. After a fun New Year’s Eve filled with friends, laughter, and a few celebratory drinks, Lizzy wandered into the bedroom to find Isai waiting with the ring. He got down on one knee and delivered the sweetest, most adorable speech. Being the logical thinker she is, Lizzy giggled and said, “The answer is yes… but please ask me again in the morning when we’re sober.” True to his plan, as Lizzy woke up on January 1st, still cozy in bed, Isai knelt once more—this time not even letting her sit up—slipping the ring onto her finger. “To ring in the new year in the best way!” he said, and just like that, the new year started with a perfect yes.

Do you remember, the 21st night of September? We sure do! We ran away to the mountains and made it official. On September 20th, we eloped to Colorado Springs, Colorado—soaking in the views, taking photos, celebrating our love, and spending time with our closest friends. We then celebrated in style on the 21st of September: saying our vows, exchanging rings, and sharing our very first dance to “Chasing Cars (Spanish Version)”. It was intimate, intentional, and perfectly us—a love story written in the mountains.
