FAQs

Question

Should I bring my kid(s)?

Answer

Look, it's up to you. Kids are welcome but we also encourage you to have a grownup night if you'd like! Please reach out if you would like recommendations for local trusted babysitters!

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

We are having a hard enough time dressing ourselves - we can't dress you, too. Please be comfortable. If we had to name a dress code it would probably be cocktail attire. The brewery does not have AC. Suit or shirt and pants, not tux. Dresses, not gowns (unless that makes you more comfy - go for it!).

Question

Can I smoke?

Answer

Nope. The venue is non-smoking, including the outside spaces. Due to someone's asthma we ask that you not smoke nearby.

Question

Where should we stay?

Answer

A block of rooms at a discounted rate have been reserved at the Hyatt House in Pleasant Hill. You can book them via this link: https://www.hyatt.com/en-US/group-booking/OAKXH/G-BOWB It's a short drive to the venue and hopefully folks can carpool or share Lyfts to get there. If you try to book and it says it's sold out, please let us know and we will see if we can get more rooms! Reservation cutoff date is April 24! Alas, our Martinez recommendations are to NOT STAY AT A MARTINEZ HOTEL. The Best Western and handful of motels are not what you're looking for. That said, there are tons of affordable and very cute AirBnBs in Martinez. If you prefer a hotel, we do like the Hyatt House in Pleasant Hill and have reserved a block of rooms there (see above). Pleasant Hill and Concord are close - Walnut Creek is a bit further away but more upscale. Benicia is also close but please note it is over a bridge so there's an $8 toll every time you want to cross and it can be harder to get a Lyft or Uber.

Question

Are you feeding us? What about drinks?

Answer

Yes, of course we are feeding you. Del Cielo has a pretty great kitchen with Puerto Rican-inspired bar food. We have vegetarian, gluten-free, and meat/chicken options available. If you're a beer-drinker, you'll be in heaven at Del Cielo (bilingual pun intended). They have a wide range of delightful beers and everything on tap is available to us. If beer isn't your thing, no worries! Wine and a signature cocktail will be served, as well. Sober or not a drinker? No worries! Plenty of non-alcoholic options are also available!

Question

Why haven't you asked me to be a bridesmaid yet?????

Answer

Calm down, please. We're having our kids stand up with us and that's it. It's a relatively small wedding so only our closest family and friends will be there anyway and if all y'all were in the bridal parties it would be silly.
