Box Hill
Box Hill gets its name from the ancient box woodland found on the steepest west-facing chalk slopes overlooking the River Mole. The 'picnic scene', a pivotal passage of Jane Austen's novel Emma (first published in 1815) is set at Box Hill. It also featured prominently on the route of the 2012 Summer Olympics cycling road race events!
Polesden Lacey
Jenny loved working at this National Trust house in the Surrey Hills and it has also been the location of many a New Year's Day Family Picture! In June the walled Rose Garden should be blooming and if you fancy a walk on the 1600 acre ancient woodland estate we couldn't recommend it enough!
Dorking
A hidden gem in the heart of the Surrey Hills, Dorking is a historic market town with great antique shops along West street. This oldest street boasts buildings dating back to the 16th century. They also have a local museum, award winning restaurants and plenty of outdoor spaces such as Leith Hill, Ranmore Common and Box Hill!
Denbies Wine Estate
Denbies Wine Estate is one of England’s largest single estate vineyards. A four minute drive from our venue will take you to the award winning 265 acre estate. You can tour the vineyard, enjoy an indoor wine tasting or even stay in their on-site vineyard hotel.
