Will and Taylor first met each other in New London, MN, where Taylor would go frequently in the summer to visit family. We both ended up in the Fargo, ND area for college and connected in a unusual way. Taylor had just moved in to the freshman dorms at NDSU and had horrible tooth pain. Her cousin, Jessica, heard about Taylors tooth pain and asked Will, if he had any ideas on a dentist and gave him my number. Will called Taylor that day, but she did not answer but Will left a sweet voice message. They remained friends throughout college but thought their relationship was over when Will went to work in Benson, MN and Taylor moved back home to start her nursing career in the Twin Cities. However, shortly after Taylor moved to the Twin Cites, Will surprised her by getting a new job and moving to the cities too! They officially started dating in January 2016!

Taylor and Will moved in together in the fall of 2019 to a one bedroom apartment in downtown Minneapolis. They thought it would be fun to live downtown for a year and experience it together! However what they did not think of was that since Will worked from home (before working from home was cool), and Taylor was working rotating 12 hour shifts, she was home more than they thought during the day. Then the COVID 19 pandemic hit and the two were quarantined together in the one bedroom apartment. Even though they were both bummed out that they didn't get experience downtown Minneapolis as they imagined. The pandemic and quarantine showed them that they could get through the hard times together if they could survive living in a one bedroom apartment together, they can get through anything!

The night we got engaged was an abnormally cold October day! Will had suggested they do a belated birthday dinner for Wills 30th birthday since they had COVID on his actual birthday. Taylor thought nothing of us and agreed (even though Wills birthday had been in august).They decided to do crab legs and steaks and cook dinner together at home! Right before they were about to eat, Will said "wait I have a bottle of wine I bought for us" as he ran into the other room. This was the first moment Taylor thought "is it happening?" Will brought the wine back into kitchen which, was nicely wrapped. Taylor said "Wow, this is fancy where did you get this?" as she turned around to open the wine on the counter. The next second, Taylor turned around and saw Will on one knee, and she obviously said YES!
