Question

Is there a dress code?Is there a dress code?

Answer

We’re so excited to celebrate with you in Big Sky! Montana weather can be unpredictable, so layers and comfortable shoes are key. Here’s what to pack for each event: 🍝 Rehearsal Dinner (Thursday evening - Invite Only - Immediate Family & Wedding Party) Cocktail Attire Women: Chic dresses or jumpsuits with dressy flats or heels Men: Slacks and button-down shirts; blazer optional 🤠 Welcome Party: Saloon Under the Stars (Friday evening - All Welcome!) Mountain Western Chic Women: Flowy dresses or skirts with boots, denim jackets, and wraps Men: Jeans or chinos, flannel or button-down shirts Western boots and hats encouraged for all! 💍 Wedding Ceremony & Reception (Saturday afternoon into evening) Formal / Black-Tie Optional Women: Long dresses or formal midis; no stilettos — block heels, wedges, or elegant flats Men: Suits or tuxedos; dress or cowboy boots are welcome 🌲 General Tip: Expect a mix of grassy terrain and mountain chill, especially in the evenings. When in doubt, go dressy but grounded. Ladies, bring an extra layer!

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception? Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Transportation will be provided to and from all events — including the Welcome Party, Ceremony, and Reception — from both of our designated wedding hotels, The Montage and The Wilson. We kindly ask that all guests use the provided shuttles, as driving is not an option and parking will not be available at the event sites. If you do need to drive, you can park at The Wilson Hotel, which has plenty of parking, and take the shuttle to and from that location. This ensures everyone can relax, celebrate safely, and enjoy the weekend without worry.

Question

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding? Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

Absolutely! Check out the "Schedule" page on this website. We can't wait to celebrate with you!

Question

Should I rent a car?Should I rent a car?

Answer

Yes — we strongly recommend renting a car, especially if you’re not staying at one of the wedding hotels. Big Sky does not have Uber, Lyft, or taxi services, and getting around without your own transportation can be tricky (or near impossible). There are two main options for getting from the airport to Big Sky: Shuttle: Cost-effective but only drops off at the Town Center. Once you're there, you'll be mostly on foot unless you're staying at a wedding hotel (with shuttles to events). Car Service: More flexible with door-to-door drop-off, but it can get pricey — and doesn’t help with day-to-day exploring. If you plan to explore, visit Yellowstone, or check out local activities and restaurants, a rental car is your best bet for flexibility and ease.
