Please RSVP by May 26, 2018 so we can make sure we have everything in order for our big day.
Yes! Our ceremony and reception will be in the same place. With this in mind, First United Methodist Church (2011 Branner Ave, Jefferson City, TN 37760) is allowing our guests to park in their parking lot which is a very short walk to the venue. If their parking lot fills, there is street parking on East Main Street, a block away from the venue.
A couple of things are unique: 1) There are limited seats so we are inviting our able (and willing) guests to grab a handmade quilt and view our ceremony from the overlooking grassy hill. 2) The bride's wedding dress was originally her grandmother's and her grandmother's sister's. Her mother also wore the dress on her wedding day. 3) We are getting married near a train track - in the event of the train coming by, we will pause for a time of play to take funny photos and remember the moment! We want to warn those with sensitive ears or those with great photography skills! #Trainselfie 4. The wedding venue is deliberately at the downtown Mossy Creek Station, a local park created in old downtown Jefferson City in an effort to bring cultural & economic revitalization to downtown Jefferson City. While others may see downtown Jefferson City as an abandoned part of town, Grace and Will see it as a vital part of history, an exciting part of the present, & a place with promising future.
The rain location is the First Baptist Church of Jefferson City (1610 Russell Avenue, Jefferson City, TN 37760), just a few blocks from the Mossy Creek Station.
Our wedding will be on a lovely summer evening in June in East Tennessee. While Grace and Will will be dressed up for the photos, we recognize that it will be warm, and therefore, we invite you to dress as comfortably or classy as you would like. We want you to be present, not perfect.
