Benjamin and Katherine have been friends since freshman year of high school. They were in multiple clubs and friend groups together but they never dated during high school. During Benjamin's mission they kept in touch through email. About a month before Benjamin was scheduled to come home he emailed Katherine to ask if she would like to go on a date once he was home. So in the 2 days between Benjamin coming home and Katherine going up to Logan for school they went on a date together. They made homemade soft pretzels at Benjamin's parents. This was only the start of their story.
