We first met in philosophy classes at Northwest Nazarene University. Although we had mutual friends we rarely interacted. Flash forward to the summer before senior year, we both ended up as camp counselors during the same camp. All the campers sensed a connection and "shipped" us before we were even together. We texted and facetimed all summer, before making it official at the beginning of the school year.

One Sunday afternoon, Zach took Sydney to their favorite coffee shop and then on a walk (a favorite pastime for us both). As we walked through Julia Davis Park, Zach led Syd down to the river before getting down on one knee! Sydney happily said yes! We celebrated our engagement with family and friends afterwards.

We plan to continue living in Boise, Idaho. Sydney loves her job as a social worker, and will be the breadwinner while Zach will be starting law school next fall. We are looking forward to life together, forever!
