Things To Do

If you’re extending your time in Italy, we’ve gathered a few ideas and some of our favorite places to help inspire your stay.

Florence + Chianti

Start in Florence, then transition into Chianti for the wedding. - Museums and historic landmarks in Florence - Aperitivo in the Oltrarno neighborhood - Morning walks and café stops - Then a slower rhythm in the countryside - Vineyard visits and wine tastings (we recommend Antinori nel Chianti Classico OR Tenuta Torciano Cantina & Ristorante) Florence recommendations: - Osteria del Cinghiale Bianco (restaurant) - Galleria dell'Accademia di Firenze (statue of David) Miami → Florence (high-speed train from Rome or Milan if connecting) → Chianti Florence → Chianti by car or private transfer

Amalfi + Tuscany

The Amalfi Coast and nearby islands are best experienced in the days leading up to the wedding (still September), when the region is still fully active and easily explored. A recommended base is Sorrento, which offers good access to the coastline while being easier to navigate than smaller cliffside towns. - Positano, Amalfi, or Ravello for day trips or short stays - Boat day along the Amalfi Coast - Ischia for a more authentic island extension Miami → Rome → Sorrento (train + transfer) → Amalfi Coast → Florence (high-speed train) → Chianti Optional extension: Ischia (ferry from Sorrento or Naples area)

Rome + Tuscany

Begin or end in Rome, then travel north into Tuscany. - Ancient landmarks and historic sites - Neighborhood dining in Trastevere - High-speed train to Florence - Transition into Chianti’s countryside pace - A shift from city intensity to open landscape Miami → Rome → Florence (high-speed train) → Chianti
