Marty & I met at Bonzer's (shocker) in May of 2016. He had been coming in with his friends for weeks and I constantly had my eye on him. After many failed attempts at making eye contact, I finally had the courage to go up and introduce myself. I barged up to his table of guys and reached my hand out, only to him. I think it was pretty obvious what I was doing. He was definitely caught off guard by my courageous attempt. But it worked! We completely hit it off. Marty always says, "I knew you were trouble." (Trouble as in, I'm gonna like this girl.) I wish I could say the rest was history but it wasn't. Our journey wasn't the typical love story. We spent a few long years apart until we both realized how much our love was meant to be. We got engaged on June 20th, 2020 at our apartment in Grand Forks, which is also conveniently named the Lumber Exchange - the same as our wedding venue. NOW the rest is history.
