Lauren swept Kyle off his feet at Leny's Place, a dive bar in Seattle. The two proceeded to go on several dates, but the one that really won Lauren over was a day trip to the San Juan Islands which involved hiking, a picnic on the beach and failed whale watching. The two knew from that point forward there was something special between them they couldn't ignore.

Kyle, being the romantic he is, took Lauren back to the place they started to "fall in love", the San Juan Islands. Kyle got down on one knee on the same beach they picnicked at almost 5 years ago... Lauren of course said "yes" and their dog Leny (named after the bar they met at) ran in circles to celebrate. They spent the rest of the day enjoying the outdoors and their first day together as an engaged couple!
