This has been a very difficult decision for us, made worse by our desire to celebrate the beginning of our life together with everyone. With the health, financial, and travel uncertainty resulting from COVID-19, we have decided to cancel our planned wedding celebration set on July 4th, 2020. When the quarantine and shutdowns began, we hoped and prayed that our wedding day would not be affected, but alas, we can be stubborn no longer. As hard as it may be, we have decided that this was the responsible decision. Many of our guests are traveling either across the country or from other countries, creating not only possible health concerns but also logistical problems that may be prohibitive. We would not want this risk to be on all of our minds as we celebrate what should be a happy and momentous occasion; and we could not imagine fully celebrating without everyone present. We still plan on getting married on July 4th, albeit a very intimate ceremony, followed by dinner with no more than 40 guests. We hope that you'll be able to celebrate our day of love from whatever part of the globe you feel safest.
