Danielle and George met at Newtown's Reed Intermediate School many years ago in 5th grade. They became friends and eventually shared the same "cluster" in 7th grade. They then became good friends, attending social events, partnering on school assignments (or hoping to be assigned to the same group), and sharing an unspoken crush on one another. Danielle easily recalls George being the sweetest guy in her grade, showing her the meaning of true friendship and kindness. In the middle of 8th grade, due to her father's job relocation, Danielle reluctantly moved to the Atlanta area, knowing she would immensely miss her hometown, extended family and best friends, including George. Little did she know, she would find lifelong friendships and gain memories that she would not change for the world along the way in Georgia. Of course, Danielle and George kept contact on AOL instant messenger, MySpace, texting, and Facebook. In 2016, Danielle knew that she wanted to be a therapist and was ready to come home to Connecticut to pursue her masters degree at University of Saint Joseph. She visited West Hartford for her masters program interview and upon acceptance, posted a photo to share the news with friends. To her pleasant surprise, George promptly reached out, asking her to meet him out for drinks that evening, as he was currently living in the area. If you ask his friends, he was over the moon excited to be able to see Danielle again. He knew that he did not want to let his middle school crush slip away. And if you ask Danielle, she knew that she also did not want her crush to go unspoken. They later met at the West Hartford Center, and the rest is history!
