Planes, Trains and Automobiles - the best way(s) to get to the best (or at least, our favorite) city in the world

Flight

Planes

Fly into JFK, Laguardia (LGA), and if you're really brave (or only fly United) - Newark (EWR). From JFK, you can take the AirTrain, which will connect you to either the Long Island Railroad or the MTA. A yellow cab from JFK to manhattan should NEVER cost more than $90 before tip. Flat fare is $70 + tolls + congestion pricing. Expect around $120 after tip. From LGA, you can take the q70 bus which will connect you to either the 7 or the E train. No flat fare for cabs. From Newark... mass transit options are more limited, we recommend taking a car. Our preferred affordable car service (if Uber and Lyft are exorbitant) is 212-233-0005. Call before takeoff, give them your flight information, and they'll be waiting for you when you land. Cash only.

Train

Trains

Amtrak will get you into Moynihan Station on 33rd and 8th. Metro North will get you into Grand Central Station on 42nd and Park Ave. The Long Island Railroad will get you into either Penn Station or Grand Central. From there, you'll be subject to the whims of the MTA. The most useful subway lines are the 4/5/6 (Green), NQRW (Yellow), and BDFM (Orange). The m102 and m103 will get you closest to the synagogue.

Drive... if you dare! Just kidding, there are parking garages nearby and the hotels all have discounts available. However, if you are driving, it's best to park outside the city (avoid congestion pricing besties!!) and take one of the lovely train options into the city. Call an uber or lyft, or just hail a taxi the old fashioned way. It won't kill you. As the date gets closer, we will have Uber vouchers available.
