Quite possibly our favorite seafood spot in all of Italy, this restaurant serves fish and pasta so good it might just ruin other places for you. You get to pick your dinner straight from a gorgeous display of fresh catch, then have it cooked just the way you like it. We come back every single trip—it's one of those places that instantly puts a smile on your face. https://guide.michelin.com/us/en/campania/cetara/restaurant/al-convento
A tiny gem with a big reputation, this little restaurant supplies its incredible seafood to some of the finest restaurants around the world. Pop into their charming shop next door, where you can scoop up delicious tinned fish or a bottle of their famous colatura to take home. It’s the perfect place to discover a new favorite—and maybe a souvenir that won’t last long!(Cetara's specialty) https://guide.michelin.com/us/en/campania/cetara/restaurant/la-dispensa-di-armatore
Ancient city & ruins of Pompeii. About 30 minutes away via car and a very cool site to visit. All the buildings are mostly intact or at least their structure is there, along with some of the burnt people. Please. note in 2025 there is a maximum of 20k visitors per day so I would buy tickets in advance.
Just up the hill from the hotel is a charming local winery. They offer several experiences - we picked the picnic - it’s relaxed, scenic, and perfect for the setting. The staff is wonderfully welcoming, the wine is delicious, and the views are truly unforgettable.
Known as the “Prima Pearl,” Vietri sul Mare is the first town on the Amalfi Coast and offers a more authentic, laid-back atmosphere than its northern neighbor, Positano. It’s a wonderful place to spend a few hours wandering, shopping for hand-painted ceramics, enjoying lunch, or sipping local wine. The main street is lined with charming shops. For a casual bite, we love La Vecchia Bottega, a small local shop filled with regional foods. You can grab a wine or beer and snack on a variety of delicious specialties. https://www.facebook.com/laVecchiaBottegaVietrisulMare/?_rdr If you’re looking for something a bit more fancy Dal Pescatore is a great choice for lunch or dinner with beautiful seafood dishes. https://www.dalpescatorevietrism.com
While we think Cetara and the hotel have everything you could want, beaches, great restaurants and bars, and us, the surrounding Amalfi Coast towns are also wonderful to explore. As you head toward Positano, the towns do become more touristy, but they are stunning! Maiori Several of our guests are staying in Maiori, and we think it’s the best of the larger towns in the southern Amalfi area. It’s lively, convenient, and a great home base. Amalfi & Atrani The most well-known towns on the coast, and for good reason. Amalfi offers amazing beaches, shopping, and restaurants. Be sure not to miss the Amalfi Cathedral. And treat yourself to a lemon sorbet served in an actual lemon! Ravello Perched above the coastline and one of the most picturesque spots in all of Amalfi. Villa Cimbrone’s famous terrace is a must, and while you’re there, be sure to visit Villa Rufolo. Minori Stop at Sal de Riso for a Delizia al Limone, then walk along Sentiero dei Limoni, which also connects to Maiori.
