***ALL SHUTTLE RIDERS WILL BE CONFIRMED VAI TEXT BY THURSDAY, 5/12. PLEASE DO NOT SHOW UP RANDOMLY AS SPACE IS LIMITED***** Shuttle will ARRIVE outside of the Kimpton Hotel around 2:30pm on Saturday and depart NO LATER THAN 2:45pm. Please be on time--it will not wait. There will be TWO returning shuttles--one mid-reception (around 8:00/8:15) and one at the end of the reception (9:30/9:45).
Short answer: we got you covered... literally.
This event is an outdoor spring wedding on the property of a very modern home and a fully functional farm. The ground may be soft and/or gravel in some areas. Whether you wear vintage chic, New England- like farmhouse fabulous or cocktail attire, just make sure you can dance!
Both the rehearsal dinner and the wedding events are fully outdoors, and chosen to be so specifically to avoid the spread of things from COVID to the common cold. That being said, while in close groups (even if outdoors) and while riding the shuttle (if applicable), we still encourage masks, handwashing and other safety precautions to ensure all guests feel comfortable.
For our out of town guests, the ceremony is ~30 mins from Charlotte city center though other events are in Charlotte proper. We'd recommend foregoing the rental car and taking the shuttle to the wedding ceremony (please indicate interest in your RSVP!). Other events (rehearsal dinner, Sunday drop-in) surround city center and are just a cheap uber or light rail ride away. While a car rental can provide additional convenience, you can absolutely explore the city and get to where you need to go with provided and/or inexpensive alternatives. If you DO rent a car, make sure you are aware of parking rules and fees.
