Is there a dress code?

The photos above offer general attire inspiration. Most events will be outdoors, and while we’ll have heaters, firepits, and a tented reception, we recommend bringing a jacket, wrap, or shawl—you’ll appreciate it for the golf cart ride home! Also, our reception will be on the croquet lawn. To protect the greens (and your heels), the club requests block heels, wedges, or flats instead of stilettos.

Ferry and Tram Reservations

BHI Ferry has opened the rest of their 2025 calendar for advance booking. We highly recommend purchasing your ferry and tram tickets far in advance. Peak hour time slots will fill up quickly. They are fully refundable, and you can always modify the time for the reservation later on. It is especially important to secure a tram reservation when purchasing the ferry tickets for both your arrival and departure. The tram is included in the price of your ferry ticket. It is a $0 add-on option that must be selected in a few areas during the purchasing process. Visit https://www.baldheadislandferry.com/ for more information. Booking ground transportation (if flying into Wilmington)

Ubers and Lyfts are available from Wilmington International Airport (ILM) to the Bald Head Island Ferry, but return trips from Southport can be difficult, especially in the off-season. Angel's Taxi offers rides between Wilmington (downtown or airport) and the Bald Head Island Ferry for $85 per trip in a minivan (up to 6 passengers). Larger vans (6–14 passengers) are available; call for pricing. Prepay at least one month in advance for discounted rates. The trip takes about 45 minutes each way. Access the BHI Club Amenities (golf, fitness center, dining)

"The Bald Head Island Club is a private club for Members and registered Guest Passes only. Please inquire with your rental company or homeowner to determine if a Bald Head Island Club membership is attached to the property you are renting. Homes with Full and Lifestyle Memberships have access to all the Club’s amenities. Homes with a Social Membership do not offer access to golf. Homes with a House Membership offer access to the Aquatics Complex and dining only. The Club’s guest passes are limited in quantity and are distributed on a first-registered, first-admitted basis.
