On the morning of December 19th, 2020 John had something up his sleeve and Leanne had no clue. This was their five year dating anniversary and nothing big was planned but Leanne was a little disappointed not to see flowers or a card in the morning before she went to work. John said happy anniversary, they kissed and Leanne was off to work. Leanne works in a local emergency department and was assigned to triage the lobby. About three hours into her shift her charge nurse asks her to hand off to another nurse and to come up front to the trauma bay quickly, and would not elaborate on the situation. Thinking the worse like a family member or friend was a patient, Leanne ran up front to find room 7 totally curtained off, with hesitation she flung the curtain back and there was John on one knee with a ring. She was in shock, and in disbelief. Her best friend Kristin and John had planned the whole thing, with help of the charge nurse on that day he was able to sneak into the department with Leanne far away in the lobby and set up for this epic proposal. With the entire department as witness Leanne said YES a million times!
