Where is the ceremony and reception?

Answer

Both the ceremony & reception will be at Coasterra - 880 B Harbor Island Dr, San Diego, CA 92101. Coasterra is a one-of-a-kind waterfront venue featuring more than 25,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor event space.

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will take place on Coasterra's floating barge, which is outdoors/open but covered. If it rains (fingers crossed it won't!), there are covers that can be pulled down on all sides to keep the rain out. The cocktail hour will also be outdoors but covered. Lastly, the reception will be indoors.

What is the dress code?

Answer

Semi-Formal: Tuxes and gowns are welcome, and so are suits and cocktail dresses. Hawaiian shirts are welcome as well! We just want you all to be comfortable!

What will the weather likely be?

Answer

San Diego typically enjoys warm, sunny, and very dry conditions in the month of September. Average daytime highs are in the mid- to upper-70s°F, with cooler evenings in the low- to mid-60s°F. Rain is rare, skies are usually clear, and the ocean remains relatively warm, making September one of the best months for beach days and outdoor activities. We will be able to give a more accurate idea of the weather closer to the wedding date and will keep this updated.

Do you have a hotel room block?

Answer

Yes, we have a room block at the Sheraton San Diego Resort. The hotel is only 0.5 miles away from the wedding venue and located right across from the San Diego International Airport. Please check the 'Travel' tab for all the necessary information pertaining to the room block.

Is transportation provided?

Answer

Yes, transportation will be provided from the Sheraton San Diego Resort to Coasterra. The hotel has a fleet of golf carts that are on call to take guests to and from Coasterra as well as Island Prime and Tom Ham's Lighthouse. Pick up and drop off is to be coordinated with the valet team. We will also provide more information closer to the wedding date.

Where should I park?

Answer

The Coasterra parking lot is complimentary self parking with limited valet at this time. Overflow parking in our adjacent lot may be provided for larger groups.
