Our Love StoryOur Love Story

Kyle’s Perspective:

In 2018, I found myself on the balcony of The Rowdy Reptile, celebrating Theta Chi’s senior week with some of my closest friends. As we chatted about the future, someone asked who we thought would get married first after graduation. The resounding consensus? Bailey and I would be the first to tie the knot, likely within a year or two. Well, that was five years ago. Our journey together has been anything but conventional. Did you know Bailey and I went to the same middle school? I even attended her siblings’ b'nai mitzvah in seventh grade. We reconnected during my junior year of college, and it felt like destiny. I was working as a bouncer at a nightclub (naturally), and Bailey happened to stumble in one night. It might sound cliché, but we’ve been inseparable ever since. We quickly adopted a dog, moved to DC, and eventually returned to where it all began in Palm Beach County. We are thrilled you can join us on our special day. Thank you for being here. Bailey has put so much effort into making this day perfect, so don’t hesitate to tell her she looks beautiful—often.

Our Love StoryOur Love Story

Bailey’s Perspective:

First things first—as many of you know—Social is NOT a nightclub. Now, for my version of our love story... Kyle and I went to middle school together, but we genuinely connected for the first time at UF. I was a rowdy sophomore, and he was in his junior year. One night, while out with my friends in midtown, Kyle texted me saying he was working at Social (a bar) and invited me to stop by. My friends and I stood in line until we came face to face with Kyle checking IDs at the door. When my friends went inside, I didn’t follow them. Instead, I felt an inexplicable pull towards Kyle and decided to spend the night distracting him from his job… I may have been a little tipsy. I remember thinking, “This guy is going to think you’re crazy… you should leave him alone,” but I couldn’t walk away, even when his manager came over to ask what I was doing. A few weeks later, I visited a friend who was fostering a tiny puppy. That puppy was Piper. Soon after, I was texting Kyle (and everyone else in my life) about how I NEEDED to adopt this dog. Most people told me it was a bad idea—that I wasn’t responsible enough, didn’t have the time, etc. But not Kyle. He immediately encouraged me to adopt Piper. I was taken aback because, honestly, I doubted my own ability to care for a puppy in college. When Kyle said, “I’ll help you with the dog,” I thought, “Does this guy realize little dogs can live for like twenty years? Does he know what he’s getting himself into?” Now, almost a decade later, I can’t imagine my life without Kyle and Piper. I feel so lucky to be marrying such an incredible man. He is my best friend, my biggest advocate, and he knows me better than I know myself. Kyle and I are so grateful to all of you for being a part of our story and celebrating our marriage with us. If you are invited, it’s because you have made a positive impact on our relationship, and we can’t thank you enough for your love and support.
