Jess and Adam met while working at Erie Insurance. Adam was about to graduate from an associate level program in IT and Jess was just starting that program. Since they were helping with the same intern events that summer, they ended up getting to know each other and hit it off! According to Adam, Jess asked him out first, although she remembers more of just beating around the bush. Regardless of who initiated, the first date of tennis, dinner and a walk on the beach led to many more :)

On the night of December 23rd, 2017, Adam took Jess out to dinner at their favorite local Italian restaurant and then back to his apartment to open Christmas gifts since both would be with family on the actual holiday. After unwrapping all the gifts under the tree, Adam said he had one last gift. He went into the other room and came back with a photo album that Jess had given him for their one year anniversary which was partially filled with photos from their first year of dating. Jess took the album, opened to the last page she filled, to find that Adam had filled in photos from the past 5 months since their anniversary. On the last page, there were two slots for photos. One had a photo of Adam and Jess' parents at a restaurant with the caption "Right after I asked your parents' blessing of our marriage. They said yes!!!" The last photo slot was empty but had a caption that read, "and this is us right after I asked you to marry me..." When Jess looked up from the photo album, Adam was down on one knee with the ring. The rest is history!
