Our story began at Round Rock High School in a Lifetime Nutrition & Wellness class. Sarah was a senior, Alex was a junior, and they became fast friends almost immediately. On November 21, 2015, what started as a simple trip to Lakeline Mall for a silly Farmers Market assignment turned into something much more. Between chatting about local produce, taking notes for class, and spending hours talking under a tree, they realized they never wanted the conversation to end. That day marked both their first date and the beginning of their relationship. Over the years, they became inseparable. They went to prom together, spent countless hours with each other's friends and families, and bonded over their shared love of all things nerdy—from gaming adventures in Ark: Survival Evolved, Pokemon, Elder Scrolls Online, Halo, Diablo, and Tarkov, to sharing music, photography, and every little moment in between. Alex would play original songs and covers on piano and bass, while Sarah filled their lives with beautiful photos of nature. When Sarah left for the University of Texas at San Antonio in 2016, they took on the challenge of long distance. Alex made frequent bus trips to visit, and they spent countless hours on the phone. In 2017, they finally moved to San Antonio together with friends, including Sarah's best friend Katie, and adopted their first pet, Ember the cat. Two years later, Cinder joined the family, and Sarah graduated from college. Like many couples, they faced unexpected challenges during the pandemic. They temporarily moved back home with their families, spent months apart, and focused on building the foundation for their future. During that time, Sarah earned her teaching certification, and Alex began his career with Greystar. Though life took them through different cities, career changes, long-distance stretches, personal challenges, and even a global pandemic, they continued choosing each other every day. Each obstacle strengthened their relationship, and they emerged stronger than ever. In 2021, they reunited in Austin and began building a new chapter together. Their family continued to grow with Ash, the neighborhood cat who chose them, Mushu the rescued bearded dragon, and Nova, their wonderfully quirky husky mix. They also discovered a love of travel, setting a goal to visit every state and document their adventures along the way. Over nearly a decade together, their lives have become deeply intertwined. Their families, friends, and even their friends' families have become one big support system filled with love, laughter, holidays, game nights, and unforgettable memories. Through every challenge and every adventure, they have remained each other's best friend, biggest supporter, and favorite person. On their ninth anniversary in 2024, Alex proposed at Garden of the Gods in Colorado, and Sarah said yes. After nearly ten years of growing up together, building a life side by side, and weathering every season life has brought their way, they are excited to begin their next great adventure as husband and wife. Thank you for being part of our story. We are so grateful to celebrate this special day with all of you.
