Our RSVP closed on August 17. Please reach out to the bride and groom directly for any updates to your RSVP status.
For our wedding day we kindly request cocktail attire (suits w/tie, cocktail dresses, etc.). No part of the day will require walking on sand, so footwear should not be a concern. Dress code for the remaining events and around the resort is resort casual. Visit the Garza Blanca website for specific restaurant dress codes.
In addition to our wedding taking place on Friday, November 18, we are planning a low-key welcome party on the beach on Thursday night. On Saturday we have organized a catamaran from 4:00pm - 7:00pm. If you RSVP'd for the catamaran and change your mind that is no problem, please just let us know.
We have organized a catamaran on Saturday, November 19 leaving from the dock just off the Garza Blanca property. For those who RSVP'd in advance please plan to meet at 3:30 on the terrace between Garza Blanca and Villa del Palmar. Recommended dress code is resort casual or swim wear/coverups. The boat will stop for an opportunity to swim for those interested. Please note there is a strict 100 passenger limit for the boat and therefore we can only accommodate those who RSVP'd in advance. If you change your mind (hungover, tired, not feelin it) and decide not to attend, that is no problem!
Yes. You will be asked to sign a a bill when closing out meals or drink orders however the bill applies directly to your all inclusive plan. There are some "premium" food and drinks that come with an extra charge, however this is clearly noted on menus and you will receive a separate bill for any add-ons beyond the all-inclusive plan.
A 15% service charge is built in to the all-inclusive rate. There is an option to add additional tip when you close out. Adding an additional tip on the bill goes into a pot for all staff at the resort. If you prefer to give an additional tip to you server, bartender or personal butler we recommend giving cash (USD is fine) as then 100% will go directly to that staff member.
You can make reservations at any of the Garza Blanca or Villa del Palmar restaurants 30 days in advance via this link: https://cancun.garzablancaresort.com/gourmet-dining/reservations
We recommend downloading WhatsApp to communicate directly with your room's butler throughout your stay. There is an amazing gym and spa at the resort and don't forget full-access to the neighboring resort's amenities and restaurants is included.
We understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise. Bookings must be made by August 17, and cancelations are permitted up to this date (less deposit). Guests may work with the Garza Blanca resort for unexpected/emergency cancellations after this date. Trip cancellation insurance (for flights and hotel) is an additional low-cost protection option via many major carriers (Allianz, AXA, TravelSafe, Nationwide etc).
There are no requirements to enter Mexico and as of June 2022 testing requirements to enter the US have been lifted and no testing is required for guests. Please visit the resort website for the most updated information.
For our savvy and not-so-savvy globetrotting friends & family, here are a few reminders: passports (check expiry dates!), ID, travel medical insurance (if not in place through your employer), money (US or MX currency works - recommend some small bills for incidentals and extra tips for your favorite bartender!), bathing suits & sunscreen!! Please refer to the resort website for dress code requirements for the resort's many restaurants.
