We met in March 2020 during the very beginning of lockdown on a dating app. We were both bored and just looking for a light-hearted distraction from the heavy state of the world. It was almost immediately evident when we started chatting via text (crazy, we know!) that we understood each other deeply. We texted everyday for 6 weeks before finally meeting up in person on May 10, 2020 for a walk around Fort Greene Park. Our relationship grew very quickly from there as it became even more evident - once we began spending time with each other - that we are better(or best) together. Our relationship is rooted in growth, shared laughter, adventure, and acceptance. We were engaged on May 28, 2021 and had a civil ceremony on July 23, 2021. We feel so blessed to be able to celebrate our marriage with our loved ones on September 3, 2022.
