Recently, Jason's family asked Jason and Alli a question — what are the first words you ever said to each other? The answer is complicated. 

They were both in their first year of college in Atlanta when they started running into each other everywhere. They had class on the same hall, exchanged smiles on breaks, bumped into each other in the dining hall, and, yes — all of their friends teased them about their crushes. 

They even briefly got stuck in an elevator together and were still too shy to talk to each other.  

So, the first words they ever spoke to each other was when Jason marched over to Alli in the dining hall, said hi, and asked her on a date. 

Since those first words, they've been together for over six years, took on NYC together, re-watched The Office too many times to count, and shared the most perfect proposal at their favorite spot by the Hudson River.
