Diana and Caitlin were randomly selected roommates freshman year of college at USD in Vermillion in 2014. Their friendship hit off so well from Day 1 that they lived together all 4 years of college and have remained close ever since, despite living in different states. She's the closest thing to a sister that Caitlin has ever had, and Caitlin is honored to have her stand by her side and hold her bouquet.

Jacob Grady

Best Man, Cousin of Groom

Everyone meet Jake, not only my cousin but also my best man and a lifelong friend. We've been close ever since childhood, making countless memories together – from our floor hockey tournaments in his parents' basement to sharing our first beers at his high school graduation party. Our bond grew even stronger during our college years at USD, where we were inseparable, cheering at women's basketball games and tackling late-night study sessions. We're thrilled to have him with us on our special day.

Logan Widvey

Logan and Caitlin went to high school together and became friends through mutual friends. They took a liking with similar sports and hobbies including track and hockey and everything else sprouted from there. Caitlin proudly stood by Logan's side at her wedding in fall 2020, and she is beyond excited to have Logan reciprocate the role.

Chase Bolte

Groomsman, Brother of Bride

Everyone meet Chase, the brother of the bride and Michael's "brotha from anotha motha." He might be the reason we end up with some wild stories from the bachelor party. On a serious note though, Chase is the life of the party, can light up any room he walks into, and has a heart of gold. He's Michael's personal hunting guide and karaoke partner. Just like the song says, he’s our very own Mr. Misunderstood.

Stephanie Steinberg

Steph and Caitlin friendship has really weathered the test of time. While they attended preschool together, it wasn't until Girl Scouts and dance brought them together in elementary school that they really began to grow close. From there, the rest is history. Steph has always been a constant and remains one of Caitlin's longest friendships. Caitlin was delighted to stand by Steph's side in her wedding in spring 2024 and to now have Steph stand by her for her turn to say "I Do".

Doug Griese

Doug and Michael shared countless memories growing up. Things started in our teenage years with online gaming sessions that eventually evolved into endless conversations, coke slushies at the Chekkers gas station, and cruising around town. Growing up together in Pierre, we spent summers on the river, swimming behind his grandparents' house, and making our own fun and shenanigans in a town where there wasn’t much else to do. Although the two might be "a pain in the a**" to each other, Doug is the kind of friend who has a big heart. Even after high school, when they went to different colleges, they stayed connected through gaming and Doug's visits to USD, which often ended up in hilarious Wii "Just Dance" battles. Michael is excited to have Doug by his side as he gets married.

Jena Samuelson

Jena made her debut in Caitlin's life a couple years ago in 2021 thanks to mutual friends (her now husband Brett and Blake and Logan Widvey, all of whom Caitlin and Michael attended high school with). They hit it off and Caitlin happily stood by Jena in her wedding in summer 2022. Since then their bond has continued to strengthen and prove time isn't everything in friendship.

Blake is Michael's go-to golf partner, for many reasons, but primarily because both are equally as bad at it. They really enjoy each other's company and sharing beers together in the nice weather. Michael had so much fun being a part of Blakes wedding that Michael knew Blake needed to be a part of his.

Mariah Baier

Mariah and Caitlin instantly clicked as friends at the start of PA school in summer 2020. Despite the pandemic throwing a wrench in the world, their friendship thrived through the ups and downs of grad school. Upon graduating, both Caitlin and Mariah decided to stay and work in Sioux Falls and now happily work along side each other in their roles with Sanford Acute Care as their friendship continues to plant roots and grow. Mariah has always been a smiling, bubbly, and delightful light in Caitlin's life and she couldn't be more happy to have her stand by her side.

Frank Turner

Way back when, "Frankie" moved to Pierre and joined the swim team. Unfortunate for him at the time, he got put in Michael's lane. Long story short, the two became friends very quickly after spending countless laps and hours in the pool. Frank graduated high school a year before Michael and went off to USD. Michael followed suit the year after. Frank, was there to help Michael move into the freshman dorm and hasn't left his side since. Frank is always the first to volunteer to help out when needed. He's always been there for Michael, and that friendship is something Michael will never take for granted.

Kelcey Hanson

Bridesmaid, Sister of the Groom

Kelcey has been around for the 12.5 years that Caitlin and Michael have been together, a constant in both their lives. She watched them grow up and grow together. Caitlin and Kelcey have shared many laughs, tears, and everything in between. Over the years, Kelcey and Caitlin continued to grow closer and eventually even worked together for a period of time. As Michael's only sibling, it is fitting to have her stand by Caitlin's side to help celebrate the union of her brother and future sister-in-law.

Caden Overturf

Michael got to know Caden during lifeguard training in high school. The two really got to know each other after a few years of spending countless hours watching over the pool, winking and waving to each other across the pool deck. During the remainder of high school years, the pair spent every free day they could on the river, floating on jet skis while sipping on "sodas" and eating seeds. During the college years their friendship continued to flourish as they spent endless hours in the library together, goofing off, and not studying. Caden keeps the mood lighthearted and always crack jokes with Michael. For this reason, the two could never not be friends.

Abbee Griese

Abbee and Caitlin's friendship started in the summer of 2018 when Caitlin and Michael's friend Doug decided he needed a lady in his life, and that wonderful human was Abbee. He quickly had our approval. The double dates ensued and have honestly never stopped. Over the years, Caitlin and Abbee's friendship has been tride and true. Caitlin had the opportunity to stand by Abbee and Doug's side at their wedding as a groomsmaid in spring 2020, and she is beyond ecstatic to have Abbee by her side helping her become a Mrs.

Jack Mortenson

Jack is Michael's right-hand man, especially for when he needs to hear a bad joke without a punch line or needs a perfect random facts trivia partner. Michael and Jack share countless memories sitting around a fire, going to local baseball games, and bonding over watching Caden sleep.

Caitlin and Kia's friendship started in college when she started dating Caden, mutual high school friend of Caitlin and Michael. Once in the picture, she never left. Their bond has grown over the years, strengthening despite distance separating their would-be frequent hangouts. Kia is the perfect person to for this role and Caitlin couldn't more excited to have her by her side helping her.

Jasmin's friendship came to be for both Michael and Caitlin after she started dating Michael's friend Frank in high school. Since then, the four musketeers have become closer than ever and both Caitlin and Michael were honored that Jasmin stepped up to the plate to help coordinate and make their dream wedding become a reality. She's the perfect person for the role, and they couldn't be more thankful and grateful, not only for taking charge, but also for her steadfast wisdom, contagious laughs, and years of friendship.
