Our venue is completely outdoor/open-air, and we know that the vast majority of our guests are vaccinated. We strongly recommend all guests be vaccinated. However for those guests who are unable to get the vaccine, we require negative test results on (1) a PCR test the week prior AND (2) a rapid test on Friday AND (3) a rapid test on Saturday morning.
Yes we are. BUT we haven't gotten to celebrate with all of our friends and family yet, and who doesn't love a good party?
We have a strict guest list to stay on budget, and we've put a lot of thought into the guest list to try to ensure the day is enjoyable for everyone. The names of any invited plus-ones are specified when you RSVP.
Yes. We should also have a private room available for use by parents/kids if any kids need a break from the excitement. However any kids will need to be closely watched the whole time because the property does have a pond and horses.
Arrive by 4:30pm for the wedding ceremony; it should be done by 5:30pm. Guests will proceed to a cocktail hour 5:30 to 6:30pm where there will be appetizers and drinks. Afterward guests will be seated at tables for the reception, and a night of food (BBQ buffet), drinks, dancing, and celebrating will follow. The bar will close by 9:30pm, and the reception will conclude around 10:30pm.
Our dress code is "dressy casual" - suit and tie for guys, cocktail dress or dressy skirt/top for ladies. Barring rain, the ceremony and cocktail hour will be outside and the reception will be under a roofed pavilion. Keep an eye on the weather, and keep in mind that this is the beginning of the summer in the South so it can be hot. We will take precautions for both heat waves (lots of fans and drinks around) and rain (everything will be under cover). Also the grass can be soft so choose your shoes carefully; for the ladies, maybe reconsider wearing stilettos.
Yes! We will have an open bar 5:30-9:30pm. Options include: signature cocktail (Moscow Mule), beer (IPA, wheat beer, Belgian dark ale), wine (Pinot Grigio, Riesling, Malbec, and Red Blend), and liquor for mixed drinks (vodka, gin, bourbon).
We are hosting a casual welcome party from 8-10pm in the Hilton Garden Inn hotel lobby as a means of greeting our guests who arrive a night early (Friday, May 27th). We will have hors d'oeuvres, and there will be drinks for purchase at the hotel bar. We would love to see as many people as possible, and we wanted to make it as relaxed as possible - when you're done, you can just head upstairs to your room.
The wedding ceremony will start at 4:30pm. Please arrive 15-30 minutes early if at all possible.
Yes, we have set up a shuttle service in between the Hilton Garden Inn and Morris Peaceland Farm for the ceremony and reception, with details/schedule to be sent out soon. Otherwise there is a large lot where guests can park their vehicles.
Your presence at our wedding is a gift in and of itself! But if you would like, we have an Amazon gift registry (see "Registry" tab), but we also welcome gift cards and monetary donations toward our furniture fund.
This hashtag was picked since Katie and Michael will have been dating/married for over 9 years by the day of the sequel wedding - so the union was a "long time coming". Feel free to use the hashtag in any social media posts, because searching for the hashtag should pull together all tagged posts into one location.
Yes, we encourage guests to post pictures on to their social media channels. Our only request is that you tag each photo with our wedding hashtag #ReallyLiangTimeComing so we can keep track of all of your pictures! However please no pictures at the ceremony as our photographer and videographer will have that covered, and please keep your phones silenced.
No - Katie has kept her last name to professionally be Dr. Bollag.
Feel free to reach out to our bridal party or parents - they will know the answers to many questions, and if not they can redirect you to us. Otherwise please reach out to Michael and Katie by phone, Facebook, or email.
