Just under 45 minutes from the villa, Florence is a beautiful city full of art, architecture, and food (of course!). We recommend visiting the Uffizi Gallery, Ponte Vecchio, and the Statue of David (located in the Galleria dell'Accademia). For food, visit the chaotic but delicious All'Antico Vinaio for the best sandwich you will ever have!
We will be in the heart of wine country so we recommend taking advantage of that. Wine tasting is a great way to learn about local traditions while drinking some of the best wine the world has to offer. Click the link to see a winery with daily tastings and tours!
There are many excursion options near the villa that can be organized through the villa's website. See the page titled "Things To Do" for additional information on excursions such as horseback riding, golf, hiking, and even cooking classes!
The villa has wonderful amenities, including a swimming pool! So bring a bathing suit (and sunscreen for my fellow pale people) and prepare to relax and enjoy the Tuscan sunshine.
