FAQs

The Wedding Website of Abigail Henry and Spencer Boland
Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by mail, website, or directly to the bride or groom, by September 15th. Thank you!

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

We have a Honeymoon Fund though Venmo - click on our "Registry" tab for more info. Spencer and I have owned our own home together for almost 4 years - so we have accumulated much of the necessary household items and accessories. In lieu of gifts, we would love to have help towards funding a honeymoon for the two of us! Our dream honeymoon is an all-inclusive UK/European train trip to see beautiful countryside, landscaping, castles, and historical cities! We of course would love to receive personalized or special gifts, but we would be thrilled if you could help make this trip possible for us!

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony starts at 3:30 pm; please arrive no later than 3:15 pm to allow enough time to find seating.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code is formal/semi-formal. But we are just happy to have you there to celebrate with us! Since it will be Halloween, costumes are encouraged after dinner for the reception, but not required. We look forward to seeing your costumes and having you join us in the Halloween fun!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Both Spencer & Abby have very large families, and due to this, the beautiful venue they have chosen will be tight on space and seating. Only the guests formally invited on your wedding invitation will be able to be accommodated. If you received a plus one, they will appear on your invite and under your name when you RSVP. We thank you for your thoughtfulness on our special day.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Please communicate with Spencer or Abby if you need a vegan meal option or have a food allergy. Thank you!

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes! Luckily, the ceremony and reception will be held in the same building. There are two large parking lots right by the venue. There is also a third parking lot up the hill from the venue across from the Myrick Park playground.

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yes - to an extent. Due to La Crosse city ordinances, hard liquor is strictly prohibited inside or outside the venue. For alcohol, we will be offering beer, wine, and seltzers. Soda and water will also be available. Per venue policies: All alcohol consumption must remain inside the facility, on the outside patio, or designated areas only and will be strictly enforced. Glass is not permitted in areas outside The Nature Place or patio. Glass is not permitted in any grass area. There also can be no direct or indirect sales of alcohol including, but not limited to, a cash bar, donations, tips, etc.

Question

Can we have phones at the ceremony?

Answer

We know you want to take pictures! It's an exciting time! We have a really great photographer who will capture all of the moments, and we would prefer not to have any phones or cameras in the pictures taken by her. We are asking that you participate in our unplugged ceremony and leave your phones on do not disturb in your pocket. We will share all of the photos from our day with you! You can have your phones out at the reception. Thank you!
