Mary and Matt met on a dating app, despite the fact that we lived 2 hours from each other! Matt asked Mary on a date but Mary was nervous at the fact that we lived so far from each other. Matt asked that we go on one date and see how it goes. We met in person for the first time at PiNZ in Kingston, MA (the halfway point), to bowl, eat, and play arcade games. We can both agree that it was the best first date.
Matt had planned on proposing to Mary at the Canadian Pavilion in Epcot in Florida on our April 2020 vacation, but due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, their trip had to be postponed. Matt had to come up with a new plan... Once the stay at home order was lifted in June 2020, we decided to plan a camping trip to Salisbury, MA. Mary's birthday landed on the second day of the trip and Matt saw this as the perfect opportunity to pop the question. After their morning camp fire, Matt asked Mary if she wanted to unpack the camper with him. We went into the camper to unpack and when Mary turned around, Matt was on one knee with a ring box in hand and he said, "Mary, will you marry me?". Mary replied with, "Is this real life?". Then Mary picked Matt off the floor to give him a hug, but forgetting one important piece, her answer, so Matt said, "Well is that a yes", to which Mary responded, "Of course!".
