We both met in high school and had mutual friends but I didn’t really take much notice of him till Japanese class. He always did annoying things to try and get my attention like kick my chair in Japanese class to make me turn around and do some weird face. I didn’t think much of it at first until one of my friends told me that he was actually trying to get my attention because he liked me. Then one day after school, he called me whilst he was riding his bike on his way to footy training and asked me to his girlfriend. That was the beginning of us.

It was 2 days after Christmas and we had just been moving boxes all week into our new home. It was hot and humid that day so I decided to have a cold bath to cool off. As I was about to get out of the bath I realised my towel wasn’t in the bathroom. I called out to Alex to bring me a new one. He asked me to get up to dry me off. I waited for a second until I realised he wasn’t drying me down. I turned around to see what the hold up was and there he was, on his knees teary eyed with a ring in his hand asking me if I would consider spending the rest of my life with him as his wife. I said YES, cried and then finally yelled out to my brother that we were ENGAGED!!! 2 days later, we were in Sydney celebrating with our immediate families as we were all about to go on our first joined family holiday together on a cruise to NZ! Now we hope to share this incredibly important day of our with you too. See you soon!
