We have been monitoring the situation with the CoronaVirus very closely, as we have many family members and friends that are at high risk. Although the restrictions in California are subject to change, we are being extra safe with regard to restrictions to ensure the safety of all parties. Therefore, we are implementing the following restriction for guests at our wedding: 1. Guests must show valid COVID-19 vaccination card, OR 2. Guests must provide proof of negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours of the wedding and be required to wear a mask for the duration (outside of eating) We understand if you do not want to provide either of these, but we must feel comfortable about having the event in order to enjoy it thoroughly. We appreciate your understanding and adhering to these guidelines. See you in September!
I had an awful Saturday where I put in some extra hours. After many pivot tables, I texted my friend Natalie and said I needed to “put on a little black dress and go dancing.” We walked onto a porch of a local bar in Soho and I sat down and ordered a drink. I looked to my left and there was a cute guy, staring at the TV, being completely antisocial. I looked at him and said “What the heck are you doing? It’s Saturday night and you’re staring at the television not talking to anyone.” His response was, “It’s the Ducks!!” After the next commercial break, he joined me in conversation and learned my last name was Bogey. Of course he didnt' believe me at first, but after chatting for a couple of hours I knew I had met someone pretty freaking awesome. At the end of the night (and many laughs, dances and intrusive Spotify searches to find out what music he likes) he asked for my number. I’m pretty sure I sealed the deal when I stored my name in as “Kelly One Over Par.” He came over the next night, brought me red wine and ice cream, and the rest is history. I cant wait to walk down the aisle to Turner, and to spend the rest of my life watching Ducks games!!
I wasn't even going to go out that night. My colleague Bill and I were at my first tournament on-site in Tampa. We went onto the ice at a Lightning Game, interviewed fans at a local bar and spent our days trying to get golfers to do some god awful YouTube videos. I was having a blast. Saturday rolls around, and I am hurting. We had been out late the night before, and after a long day, I planned to order some food and watch the Ducks face Arizona for the conference title. Long story short, he talked me into watching it at a bar. Deep in concentration, I did happen to notice the striking blonde sit down next to me, dressed to the nines. I rolled my eyes and kept watching the game until she struck up a convo. We didn't stop talking the whole night and danced til they kicked us out. She put her name in my phone as Kelly "One Over Par" and that sealed it, she was a keeper. We've had many twists and turns in life in the two years since but I am just as infatuated with her sitting on the couch looking at bad resumes on LinkedIn as I was that first night we met. Even now with a home and the pets to take care of, she finds little ways to surprise me and make me smile.
