We met through a friend of his sister Karly and ended up hanging out a couple times with friends. We teased each other endlessly and he seemed to like me. After a couple weeks went by without even asking for my phone number, I thought he just wasn't interested in me that way and brushed it off. Then the day after going bowling with a group of friends, he finally asked me out! Turns out he was too afraid to ask me for my phone number and asked Karly for it instead.
One day, Kyle asked if we could go to Hocking Hills State Park before my family's Easter get together. He said that he's been very busy lately and wanted to de-stress; besides, I had never been there and he wanted to show me his favorite spots. I didn't think anything of it because he had been very stressed and it seemed like something he would do -- go on a spontaneous adventure. So we got up before sunrise, threw our dog Jack in the car, and drove over two hours to Hocking Hills. I love hiking, but towards the end of the hike I was tired, hungry, and upset that we were going to be late to Easter. He drug me to all the way across the park to Cedar Falls, telling me that "it will be worth it, I promise." When we got there, his sister and brother-in-law just "happened" to be there hiking also, but I was too upset at this point to put the pieces together! One minute we were taking pictures in front of the falls, and the next he was on one knee.
