What began as two sandwiches on a Cincinnati hillside, turned into a 700 mile long distance relationship, only to bring Steve and Mary finally together in St. Louis almost 2 years later. A travel nurse contract at Cincinnati Children's where Steve was living at the time. The world wide web brought these two together when they decided to go on a blind date - sandwiches from Carl's deli and a nice sunset view of the Cincinnati skyline. This 1st date developed into 2nd, 3rd, and 4th dates over the next few weeks, ranging from Bengals games to roller blading to Phish and Kesha concerts. Mary moved onto Omaha for a new contract a few months later, but the fire had already started. A few moves and months later (filled with many FaceTime calls), the couple was reunited in St. Louis to continue building their relationship. On a trip to Acadia National Park in July 2025, Steve bent the knee to make things official. We are so excited to celebrate our love with all our dearest family and friends this September!
