The Wedding Website of Katelyn Herenda and Andrew Chavarria
Mexico City offers an incredible mix of culture, design, and vibrant neighborhoods, and we can’t wait for you to experience it! Our venue is in Coyoacán, a historic neighborhood in the southern part of Mexico City, known for its colorful streets, plazas, and local cafés. The bridal party will be staying in Roma Norte close to neighboring Condesa. While we’re unable to offer a traditional hotel block, there is an abundance of beautiful and well-located Airbnb options. From stylish apartments to full homes, there are many great choices throughout the city—particularly in Roma Norte and surrounding neighborhoods: Coyoacán, Condesa, & Polanco. Explore options in these areas with accommodations that best fit your travel style and group size. For rideshare in Mexico City: Uber, DiDi, and Cabify are the top choices. Below you’ll find some local Boutique Hotels in Coyoacán. We will continue to share recommendations as the celebration approaches.

Flight

Aeropuerto Internacional de la Cuidad de Mexico

Flights: Guests should plan to fly into Benito Juárez International Airport (MEX) in Mexico City. MEX is a major international airport with direct and one-stop flights available from most major U.S. cities. Approximate travel times: • Los Angeles / Orange County: ~4–5 hours nonstop • East Coast cities: ~5–6.5 hours (direct or one stop) We recommend allowing extra time upon arrival for customs and traffic when traveling to your accommodations. Currency: Mexico uses the Mexican Peso (MXN). Credit cards are widely accepted throughout Mexico City, but we recommend carrying some cash for taxis, tips, markets, and smaller vendors. ATMs are readily available at the airport and throughout the city and typically offer the best exchange rates. Most guests find it easiest to withdraw pesos upon arrival rather than exchanging currency in advance. Be sure to notify your bank before traveling internationally.
