It all started with a swipe. What began as a simple match on Hinge quickly turned into something neither of us expected. After some conversation and just enough curiosity, we planned our first date at Queen City Radio. What was meant to be a casual meet-up turned into hours of effortless conversation, laughter, and the kind of connection you don’t come across every day. Neither of us was quite ready for the night to end, so we wandered over to Revel for a glass of wine—just to keep the conversation going a little longer. That “one drink” mindset became the first of many dates. From there, we spent countless evenings exploring Oakley, Covington and Cincinnati. Some of our favorite memories were made at places like Madtree, The Well, Mama’s on Main, Sotto, Craft & Vines, the Boulevard & JRG Pools and Great American Ball Park. Whether it was a planned night out or just finding somewhere new to try, every date seemed to top the last. Somewhere between those city nights and spontaneous plans, we realized this was more than just dating. Of course, no great love story comes without a test—and Nick’s came sooner than expected. At Monica’s sister’s wedding, he found himself front and center… literally. Sitting on stage, he was put in the hot seat as her cousins grilled him with questions on the dance. From “What’s Monica’s Skyline order?” to the ever-important “Do you have a 401(k)?”, he handled it all like a champ (and passed with flying colors). Monica’s first test came not long after—and with a bit more spontaneity. What started as a casual kayak trip quickly turned into something more memorable. One thing led to another, and suddenly the day included an unplanned introduction to his parents. Safe to say, she passed her test just as easily. Then came our first trip together—to Iowa. It might not sound glamorous, but it was perfect. It showed us how much we loved not just being together, but experiencing life side by side. We explored downtown Moline with memorable dinners at Armored Gardens and Duck City. That trip sparked something bigger: a shared love of travel, adventure, and creating memories in new places. From there, our travels continued and grew to include international destinations, each trip bringing us closer and adding new chapters to our story. Through every mile traveled, every dinner shared, and every ordinary moment in between, we found our way to something extraordinary—each other. On December 19, 2025, Nick and Monica closed on their first house in Loveland, Ohio. Nick asked the big question when they walked into the house for the first time. Monica said yes! And now, it all leads us here! We can’t wait to celebrate the next chapter of our story with you on September 12 in the place where it all the started, The Cov!
