Like many modern love stories, ours began with a swipe. We met on Tinder, not knowing that a simple match would turn into a life-changing connection. Our first date was a picnic at Blue Rock Springs, where conversation flowed easily and laughter came naturally. The day took an unexpected turn when he accidentally locked his keys in the car. He picked up a stick and decided to try and pop the window and without hesitation, I jumped in to help. It was equal parts chaotic and funny, and somehow felt symbolic from the very start: together, we could handle anything. We’ve been together since May 2020, and just six months later, we decided to move in together. What followed was the quiet, beautiful building of a life—late nights listening to music, planning trips near and far, gaming side by side, and finding comfort in the everyday moments that slowly became our favorite memories. In 2024, our little family grew when we found Toph, our tortie cat, on Craigslist. She was tiny, full of attitude, and completely irresistible. Toph quickly claimed her place as the ruler of the house and filled our home with even more love (and sass). One of our favorite things to do together has always been traveling, which made this proposal feel especially meaningful. While in South Lake Tahoe celebrating my birthday, he proposed at a restaurant surrounded by the warmth of the moment and the love we’ve built over the years. It was intimate, heartfelt, and perfectly us, the answer was an obvious, joyful yes. From a swipe to a picnic, from popping a car window to building a home, our story has been filled with laughter, growth, and deep love.
